Dr. Ashley Hechler, DVM, MS, DACVIM (Neurology)

Neurologist & Neurosurgeon

Dr. Hechler received her DVM at the University of Florida in 2015. In 2019, Dr. Hechler completed a combined residency in neurology and neurosurgery and Master of Science program at The Ohio State University. She became a Diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine the same year. Afterwards, Dr. Hechler remained at The Ohio State University as an Assistant Professor of Neurology and Neurosurgery, during which she completed the Advanced Neurosurgical Certification. Dr. Hechler has received additional training in canine rehabilitation therapy with focus on adjunctive treatment for neurological disorders.

Dr. Hechler enjoys all aspects of neurology but her passions include Chiari-like malformation and syringomyelia, neurosurgery, and the utilization of rehabilitation therapy for common neurological disorders. Outside of work, Dr. Hechler loves to spend time with her husband, Stephen, and their cavalier King Charles spaniel Liam. When she isn’t busy at work, Dr. Hechler enjoys skiing, traveling, and paddle boarding with Liam.
